Weekend Recap
There's only a couple hours left of this weekend, but a quick recap on how awesome it was:
- found out that I got accepted into the Illinois MBA program and was granted a huge scholarship, which sweetened the deal :)
- went to Oakbrook and stimulated out economy through retail therapy. Just doing my civil duty, sir. Bought MAC's tranquil cleanse off oil - which is AMAZING. A friend who got me into makeup in the first place recommended it. Smells really good, has pretty packaging, and definitely does the job.
- watched a great performance by my youngest sister's Honors Orchestra. She had a solo that did us all proud. It's crazy how all these high schoolers not only had the technique, but the musicality required for pieces like Capriccio Espagnole!
- Played at my own orchestra concert with the community symphony orchestra. We performed Walton's Viola Concerto, Elgar's Serenade for Strings, and Dvořák's 8th Symphony. Sigh - I need more Elgar in my life. British composers are the best!
aaaaand that's all. Trying really hard not to think about the fact that tomorrow is Monday :(
