Valentine's Day Festivities
My friend lovezutto ("zutto" = "always" in Japanese) hosted a wonderfully fun Valentine's Day party and Pop-up shop at the Institute 4 Creativity this week, which featured her Etsy handmade scarves and plush cuties!
While I was there, I played around with some designs that I inked:
In Korea, girls buy chocolates (or make them, if you're hardcore) for their beloved. Meanwhile, the single folks have "Black day" two months later to celebrate "singles awareness day" by eating noodles with black bean sauce, 짜장면 (aka "jjajjangmyun", for those of you who can't read Korean). I kid you not, there is a specific day for single buddies to eat jjajjangmyun together - this is a very legit day in Korea.
By my friend and I decided that it was stupid to wait two months for such a delicious dish, so we went ahead and made our noodles today. WE REGRET NOTHING.

Those magnets are great--I can't believe that you made them yourself! I also love the day in Korea that acknowledges singleness by the eating of good food.

Isn't a legit, food-oriented singles day very awesome?! I need that here in the US of A, stat! House of Cards is soooo addicting. I won't even judge you if you clear the season in a week (it only took me 4 days)!
