Stay warm, everybody!

I posted this on Facebook, but I'm cross-posting this because I am just so incredibly thankful for what I've gone through today:

My car got stuck in the snow today. The abandoned snow-packed road I was turning on had a dip in the pavement, and my tires sunk right in. Trying very hard not to freak out, I started to scrape out the back of my tires, using my snow scraper as the Most Useless Shovel In The World.

I was eventually on my knees to dig at the snow with my raw fingers, and as I was kneeling, I desperately prayed for the Lord to be merciful, for it was early Saturday morning and no one sane enough was outside to even see or hear me. I was just about to cry when not even 10 seconds later, God sent me guardian angels in the form of 3 scary-looking burly dudes in a pickup truck, who pulled over immediately after they saw me! They helped my dig out the rest of the car and rocked my car until I was able to pull through the ditch.

tl; dr??? Basically, I am incredibly THANKFUL for GOD's reminders and miracles that renew my faith in Him and the people He places in the right time and place, and more importantly, with the right HEART. I haven't prayed this intensely in a long time and I think even this tiny moment this morning awoke something in me again

  1. I'm glad that people came to help you! I think it's interesting how often the scariest looking people are actually the nicest. I always remember at my first week of university, I went out with the girls on my corridor to a club full of normal average nice looking people, and one of the girls I was with proceeded to step on my foot with all of her weight on the heel of her stiletto, leaving me sort of bent over and crying on the floor, convinced that my foot was broken, and nobody around did anything at all... then a few days later, I went to a rock club with the people who would actually turn out to be my friends, and I ended up drinking too much and being really sick and this really terrifying looking goth girl came up to me and was basically the nicest person ever and looked after me until I could find my friends again. Yay for scary looking but secretly super nice people!
