The Woman in White Readalong: Intro Post

Alice is gonna shoot me - but I am late in posting once again.
I am going to be very honest - I know NOTHING about Wilkie Collins.  I had to look him on wikipedia and was immediately drawn to his giant forehead, so I drew something instead.  Maybe I should hold off on reading about him so I don't shun him for having a mistress or trying to find similarities between him and Dickens.  I also have no idea what this book is about, but there was only 1 copy left in the library and so it is a sign that I absolutely must join this readalong and offer my $0.02 weekly.

wow... just... that forehead...

  1. See, this is contributing something original to the forehead discussion.

I just started the preface. And since this week's Holy Week, I feel like reading should start right now or it shall not be done for Monday and OH HOW EMBARRASSING if I do not do the reading when I'm hosting.

  2. Ah, Holy Week.  I'm doing massive reading and reflecting, but I will do my best to post on time.  Also, I'm looking at this drawing the next day and I realize that I didn't draw his forehead nearly as big as it should be.

  3. Hello! It's nice to meet another reader/knitter on the internet, as well! I live in California, so I'm well acquainted with funny looks for knitting in public. :D

Woman in White is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it!

  5. Hey Tika! At least here in Chicagoland, I can justify that I'm making shawls or scarves for the harsh winters - what do you make?
Will you be offering weekly commentaries on "Woman in White?
